Passenger planes collide at Heathrow Airport

Passengers were evacuated after a British Airways Boeing 747 clipped the wing of a Maldives-bound Sri Lankan Airlines Airbus A340 as they taxied on a runway in preparation for take-off

The London Fire Brigade said nobody was injured in the incident.Three months ago two British Airways planes were involved in a similar collision when they ran into each other while one was reversing.

The latest incident once again raises concerns over safety procedures at Heathrow which is one of the world's busiest airports.
