Belfast International Airport is located 21km northwest of Belfast City Centre in Aldergrove. If you are driving in from Belfast, travel north on the M2 motorway, then turn off at junction 5. The airport is situated off the A57, 11km (7 miles) from junction 5. From the south and west, take the Moira junction on the M1 motorway, then the A26 and Nutts Corner junction. 

Belfast International Airport shares its runways with the RAF base in Aldergrove. Over 5 million passengers (2.1% of passengers at all UK airports) travelled through the airport in 2006 (a 1.7 million increase over 2000). Belfast International is the 11th busiest airport in the UK in terms of passenger numbers and the busiest airport in Northern Ireland. It serves 47 scheduled destinations with 15 domestic services and 32 European and transatlantic services.

.You can get to and from Belfast Airport by a variety of methods including Private Belfast International Airport Transfers. With a Private Transfer you would be met in the arrivals hall by your own driver who will then take you on to your chosen destination.

The arrivals area/hall is located on the ground floor.  There is a Bureau de Change (Travelex) and cash dispensers in this area.  Car hire companies are located in this area and the taxi rank is just outsider arrivals. The Departures Concourse, Lounge and check-in area are all on the first floor of the airport terminal building.

There is a Bureau de Change (Travelex) and cash dispensers in this area.   A couple of eating and drinking outlets are also in the Departures (prior to going through security), but the majority of these are in the Departures Lounge (once through security). Two regular bus services operate from the airport to Belfast City Centre and Inverness. From Belfast City Centre you can make a connection with the National Express coaches which cover most areas of the UK. There isn´t a railway station connection at the Airport .  However, there are connections to Belfast Central and Antrim Railway Stations from Lisburn and Londonderry areas.  There is a high speed train (Enterprise) from Belfast Central Station to Dublin.  For more information on routes and timetables visit our guide to trains in Belfast

There are three car parks at the airport, Short Stay, Main Car Park and Long Stay. The car parks are operated by Q-Park and there are over 8,000 spaces available.  Q Park is the nearest parking to the terminal building.  There are several options for parking and paying.  All car parks have 24 hour security. Lost property is operated by the Information Desk with a charge of £5 per item handled.

If you have lost your luggage between checking in and your return into the arrivals/baggage reclaim, then you will need to contact your airline.  Details of all airline contact numbers can be found on the flights page of this website.

There is no facility to leave/store luggage at the airport.
