Birmingham Airport Information

There are smoking areas in the Abraham Darby Pub, Blues Bar, Shakespeare Pub and the Costa Coffee cafe bar. All other areas of the airport are designated Non-smoking.

There are plenty of toilet facilities around the airport, including disabled and they are well sign posted. If you require assistance with a disabled person, please contact the information desk (0044 (0) 870 733 5511).

There are nappy changing facilities in both terminals. In terminal 1 there are changing rooms on the first floor and in the departure lounge. In terminal 1 this is located in the departure lounge and next to the Information Desk on the ground floor.

Serendipity Games offers rides, amusements and video games. You will find them in both terminals on the ground and first floor and also in the departure lounges.

There is an Aviation Experience in Terminal 1 on the ground floor. There are good views of the airfield, interactive screens,models, bookshop, games centre and refreshments are also available. It is free if you are travelling, you just need to show your boarding card. If you are not travelling it´s 1 pound for adults and 50p for children. Opening hours are 08:00 to 21:00

There is also a picnic area at the end of the Long Stay Car Park (1) which is great for viewing the aircraft (weather permitting).

Next to Starbucks in the departure lounge of Terminal 1 there is a play area where children can watch DVD´s and also there are some play activities

Lifts and adapted toilets are available throughout the airport. Wheelchairs are available – you will need to contact the information desk for these. If you require help with luggage and check-in this can be organised but be sure you arrange this prior to your travel day, via the information desk. (Tel 0044 (0) 870 733 5511).

At the information desk in terminal 1 there is a minicom system (0044 (0) 121 767 8084) and there is an induction loop system.

There are business booths in Terminal 1 Departures Lounge. You will find free work stations with telephone, email, modem and fax facilities. They are credit card operated.

Both terminals 1 and 2 have a 24 hour medical centre

Bureaux de change and ATM´s are available in both terminals 1 and 2.
