Birmingham Airport Trains
Birmingham
International Railway Station is adjacent to the airport. There
is a free rail service to and from Birmingham International Airport
which is operated by SkyRail
and called the Air-Rail Link. It is located in the passenger
terminals.
When the rail station is open (from 05:15 to 02:00) this service runs every few minutes and the journey to the railway station is around 2 minutes.
There are connections from Birmingham International Railway Station to other parts of the country operated by Virgin Trains and Central Trains. There is also a regular service to Birmingham New Street Railway Station which is in the city centre. Journey time to New Street Station is 10-20 minutes.

If you use Central Trains
make sure you purchase the ticket before boarding the train
as they apply penalty fares if you don´t have a ticket.
Virgin Trains operate a service to London Euston every half an hour. The journey time is around 85 minutes. They offer many more destinations from Birmingham New Street. Again purchase your tickets in advance as tickets paid for on the train are for full price single and return only.
If you wanted to travel to London Marylebone Station then you can do this using Chiltern Railways . They operate a service via Warwick, Warwick Parkway, Leamington and Banbury.
To use Chiltern Railways
service you will need to get to Solihull Railway Station. There
is a bus (number 966) which runs to the train station from the airport
every half an hour. NOTE that Chiltern Railways do not operate to
or from Birmingham International Railway Station.
You can travel from Birmingham International directly to the National
Exhibition Centre (NEC).
