The person named on the Hertz reservation booking must be the main driver, present at time of rental and payer of any rental charges. Additional drivers can be added at a cost of of £ 9.00 (excluding tax) per driver per day, with a maximum fee of £90.00 (excluding tax) per rental for each additional driver. All additional drivers must present a valid driving licence and an additional form of identification.

The minimum age for Hertz car rentals in the United Kingdom is 25 for all vehicle groups except for Luxury 4-Door (H), Special 4-Door (S66) and Hertz Prestige Collection (HPC) for which the minimum age is 30.

It is possible to rent vehicle groups Mini (A), Economy (B), Compact 4-Door (C) and Compact 2-4 Door (R) from 23 years old on payment of a young driver surcharge of £15.00 (excluding tax) per day with a maximum charge of £150.00 (excluding tax) per rental.

Hertz Prestige Collection vehicles (A6, E6,  I6, L6, S6, U6, X6, Z6 and W6) are equipped with a built-in navigation system which provides detailed driving directions to many destinations in the UK by means of an in-car LCD video screen and computer generated voice instructions.
