Bournemouth is a fairly small regional airport which is currently undergoing a £32 million major redevelopment programme which will be phased over five years.

The airport is about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Bournemouth just outside Hurn. From the centre take the A338 towards Ringwood, take the B3073 turning towards Hurn. From London or the South East take the M3, followed by M27, and then the A31 to Ringwood. Just after the Ringwood roundabout take the A338 towards Bournemouth, then take the B3073 exit and follow signs to the airport.

There is only one terminal building that houses both departures and arrivals so it is very easy to find your way around.

Four of the major car hire companies are located at the airport just outside arrivals.  They are: Budget at Bournemouth Airport - Europcar at Bournemouth Airport - Hertz at Bournemouth Airportt and National at Bournemouth Airport

.You can get to and from Bournemouth Airport by a variety of methods including Private Bournemouth Airport Transfers . With a Private Transfer you would be met in the arrivals hall by your own driver who will then take you on to your chosen destination.

Taxis are the official taxi company at the airport and the only ones allowed to use the taxi rank. You can hop into one of the taxis on arrival or pre book and/or obtain a quote on: 0044 (0) 1202 556677

Bus number 747 operated by Yellow buses runs between the Travel Interchange in Bournemouth via the Railway Station and the Airport.

A Single day return will cost around £4 with OAP´s and children travelling for half the fare. Check the bus section of our website for further details and timetables.

There is no Railway Station at the airport, bu regular buses connect to Bournemouth and Christchurch Railway Stations. We have provided details of all the services which operate from these stations, together with links to the relevant operators.

There are three parking options at the Airport: Car Park 1 - suitable for short and long stays and is situated within walking distance of the airport.

Car Park 2 - suitable for short and long stays and is situated within walking distance of the airport.

Car Park 3 - closest to the airport and arrivals it is ideal for pick ups and drop offs.  However, it is the most expensive, although to facilitate the drop off and pick up of passengers the first 10 minutes only are free of charge.

If your luggage does not arrive in the baggage reclaim when you do, then you will need to contact the airline you have travelled with.  Do not leave the baggage reclaim area.  All airline contact numbers can be found on the flight section of this website.  Ensure you have the number with you before you leave home.

There is no facility for left luggage at the airport.
