Robin Hood Airport is situated approximately 5 miles southeast of Doncaster and 18 miles east of Sheffield, and is easily accessible just off the A638 and A614 roads which provide access to the M18 motorway to Sheffield and the M1 to London.

It is the UK’s newest purpose built international Airport. Built on the site of the former RAF Finningley airbase. It started commercial operation in 2005, has a brand new glass fronted terminal and one of the UK's longest runways. Robin Hood Airport has the capacity to handle charter, scheduled, long-haul, freight, general and business aviation and is expected to welcome over one million passengers this year with over 40 destinations being reached from there.

.You can get to and from Robin hood Doncaster Airport by a variety of methods including Private Doncaster Airport Transfers. With a Private Transfer you would be met in the arrivals hall by your own driver who will then take you on to your chosen destination.

The departures area at the airport is split on to two floors.  Departures check-in (landside) is on the ground floor and the departures lounge is on the first floor.  Views of the runway and surrounding countryside are from both floors. There is only one official taxi company at the airport called Little Arrows.  They are the only company that can pick you up without prior booking (you can pre-book if you wish).  There are other local taxi companies available but these would have to be pre-booked. If your luggage is lost then you will need to contact the airline you used or in most cases their service provider which for Doncaster is www.servisair.com who have just been selected as the preferred supplier. 

There are currently no left luggage facilities at Doncaster Robin Hood Airport.
