Trains at East Midlands Airport
Unfortunately there is no train station at the airport. But with the regular bus services available you can link up with the train stations at Loughborough, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Long Eaton.
Long Eaton is only a small station, although there are links to London, they are not frequent. Derby and Nottingham would give you more choice and frequency of destinations for your onward journey.
East Midlands Trains Information
The station is currently operated by Central Trains who provide the majority of services, although Midland Mainline semi-fast trains call hourly.
There is a half-hourly Central Trains service from Long Eaton to Nottingham (eastbound) and to Derby and Birmingham New Street Station (westbound) - some of which are operated as Central Citylink services.
There is an hourly Midland Mainline service between London St Pancras and Derby that calls at Long Eaton is operated by the new Meridian Trains.
Both operators generally offer half these services on Sundays. The station is staffed during the day time, and will soon have an automatic ticket vending machine installed which will be accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
