Isle of Man Airport Information
Isle of Man Airport (also known as Ronaldsway Airport) is the main civilian airport on the Island situated to the south of the Island at Ronaldsway near Castletown 11km southwest of the capital, Douglas. The airport offers scheduled services to the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands. It is a busy airport with over 789,155 passengers passing through its doors last year.
A project began in November 1998 to extend the airport and improve the passenger facilities and in March 2000 the new extension was opened with a landside catering outlet, arrivals area, baggage hall and departure lounge. The existing part of the airport was refurbished to provide improved check-in facilities and offices, linked to the extension with a new airport entrance. During the extension and renovation period the Three Legs of Man sculpture (seen in the photo above) was also refurbished.
In March 2006 funding for a further extension was granted to increase the number of departure gates with work due for completion this year.

There are five of the major car hire companies at the airport. You can book your car on arrival but it is recommended to pre book if you know you will need a hire car.

Isle of Man Airport Shops
Shopping facilities at Isle of Man Airport are rather limited with only 2 shops in the terminal building.
Both are situated on the first floor: one is prior to security and the other one is through security in the departures lounge and is adjacent to the Oasis Cafe Bar.
At these shops (Skylines Travellers Stores) you can buy magazines, books, newspapers, tobacco and gifts. Unfortunately you cannot buy tax/duty free goods at the airport at this time.
Isle of Man Airport Bars and Restaurants
There are two cafeteria/bars in the terminal building. Both are on the first floor. One before security and one after security in the departures lounge, adjacent to the Skylines Travellers Store (Oasis Cafe Bar).
Both cafeterias are licensed so you can buy a range of alcoholic, soft and hot and cold drinks as well as hot food, including breakfasts. Snacks, sandwiches etc. are also available.
Both the shops and cafe bars are open to cover all flights.
Isle of Man Airport Lost Luggage & Left Luggage Storage
If you have lost property within the terminal building, contact the Airport Security on
Telephone 01624 821612 or contact the Information Desk which is on the ground floor next to the taxi office.
If you have lost luggage within the terminal building, contact the Airport Security (as for lost property) or the Information Desk. However, if you have lost luggage during transit or your luggage hasn't arrived on the reclaim belt you must contact the airline you travelled with or their handling agent. If this has happened, do not leave the baggage reclaim area until you have spoken with the airline or a member of staff at the airport, who will be able to point you in the right direction. There are no facilities for leaving or storing luggage at the Isle of Man Airport.
