The departures area is on the first floor at London City Airport. Shops are situated both before and after security. Restaurants at London City Airport are a bit thin on the ground but there is enough choice for you to have a hot, cold or alcoholic drink, snacks and sandwiches. There is also the Meridian Line fine dining restaurant on the first floor, which is open to non travellers.
There is not a large range of shops at London City Airport but you can buy duty and tax free goods including wines, spirits, tobacco, perfumes and travel essentials. There is also a fashion section here that sells Ted Baker, Hugo Boss, Luggage and Swarovski jewellery.
A Bureau de change is available in the departures lounge. There is also a cash point in the Departures Lounge which is operated by Alliance and Leicester.
