Gatwick Airport Taxis

Taxi services at the airport are operated by Checker Cars who are the only taxi company allowed to use the taxi ranks at the airport. Checker Cars has a booking office in the North Terminal arrivals area and a booking office in the northern entrance building leading to the South Terminal.

Some of Checker Cars have swivel seats which give easy access for disabled clients.  You can pre/book a taxi or hop in one at the taxi rank.

A journey into central London will cost around £78 (plus £5 congestion charge if your destination is within the charging zone).  It takes around 60-90 minutes for the journey depending on the traffic.

For security reasons dropping off and picking off only takes place at the short stay car park in the South Terminal and upper ramp in the North Terminal.
