W H Smith sell stamps in all terminals and there are post boxes in all terminals once you are through security. At Terminal 2 there is a post office with full services

The Business Centre is between terminals 1 and 2 in the Queen's Building (before security) and is operated by Travelex.  The largest of the meeting rooms is the conference suite, which is theatre style and holds 60 people.

St George's Chapel at the airport is opposite Terminal 2 car park at the side of the control tower.  You will need to take the stairs to reach it. The chapel is open throughout the day but if you wish to attend a service ring 0044 (0)20 8745 4261

Children's Facilities at London Heathrow Airport

In terminals 1 and 2 there are no dedicated play areas for children

In terminal 3 there is a Jetterz Kid's Club which is in the departures lounge, after security.  It is suitable for children 5 to 14 years with a TV, DVD, books, computers game and toys. 
The club is fully supervised and opening times are from 08.00 to 19.00
The cost per child is £15.00 for the first two hours and £10.00 thereafter

In terminal 4 the KLM Holideck lounge will keep the children occupied.  There is a small entrance fee. Opening times 06.30 to 22.00 Monday to Sunday Telephone 0044 (0)208 750 9870 or you can pre book on line at www.secure.baa.com

Disabled Facilities at London Heathrow Airport

The airport has excellent facilities throughout for disabled travellers and those with special needs.

The short stay car parks are the most convenient to use if you are disabled/special needs traveller. If you require any assistance at all with your luggage or help to push your wheelchair then just use the green telephones which are next to the disabled parking bays.

If you require assistance at the bus station go to stand number 6 and use the telephone there.  It is sign posted HELP BUS. There is also a help point if you require help to reach terminals 1, 2 and 3.  This again is in the bus station on the way to the underground system.

Most local buses do have low level floors.  However, coaches, particularly long distance, tend not to have any facilities, so it is worth checking before you travel and booking assistance wherever you can beforehand.

Internet Facilities at London Heathrow Airport

The airport is Wi Fi (wireless) accessible throughout.  However, there are also fixed terminals available before and after security provided by Spectrum Interactive. Payment is by Pound/Euro coins or credit card

Medical Facilities at London Heathrow Airport

There is a health centre on the ground floor of the Queen's Building between terminals 1 and 2.  Qualified nurses are on hand for basic treatments only. Opening times 07.00 to 19.00 hours Telephone 0044 (0)208 745 7047

There is a pharmacy in Boots Chemists in each terminal both before and after security, but the outlets in Terminal 1, before security, is the only one that will dispense a prescription for you.The telephone number for the dispensing branch is 0044 (0)208 897 2629

Pet Travel at London Heathrow Airport

Guide dogs and hearing assistance dogs are the only pets allowed into the airport.  Obviously, first of all check that the airline you are going to book with offers the service of transferring pets.

If you wish to fly your pet in or out of the UK, then you will need to check that your pet has the correct vaccinations and passport. If your pet qualifies then it will remove the need for them to spend six months in quarantine.

Money Changing Facilities at London Heathrow Airport

There is a good range of money exchange desks available throughout the airport.  You can also pre order your currency and pick it up when you arrive at the airport.
