LHR - London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2
The official meeting point at Heathrow Terminal 2 is next to the BAA information desk on the first floor. It has a seating area and is clearly signed. The Costa coffee shop (also on the first floor) is a popular informal meeting point.
A number of airlines provide lounge facilities for passengers travelling first or business class from Terminal 2. They include Aeroflot, Air France and TAP Air Portugal. Please contact your airline for information about opening times, eligibility and facilities.
Heathrow has Anglican, Catholic, Free Church, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and Sikh chaplains. All can be contacted via the airport information desk, in the arrivals area of Terminal 2.
The terminal has a prayer room for all faiths in the departure lounge (after security control), near Gates 18 and 19.

Departures at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2
There are a few long haul flights leaving from Terminal 2 but it is the main hub for European flights.
Remember to allow plenty of time to check in as there will probably be long queues, particularly during busy periods such as summer holidays and Bank Holidays.
Boarding is normally 45 minutes before your flight. Remember to keep checking the monitors telling you to go to your gate, as there are no announcements at the airport.
You do have the option of self service check in at the airport and also on line check in.
This saves lots of time queuing, although you still may have to queue for a short while at the baggage drop desk.
