Manchester Airport Taxis

There are taxi ranks outside all three terminal buildings. All are licensed by Manchester City Council.

Check the tariff boards at the taxi rank as there is a maximum fare system in operation. Make sure you agree your fare with the taxi drive before you leave the airport.

If you are travelling into Manchester City Centre the cost will be around £18. The journey will take about 20-25 minutes.

To find a taxi at your terminal:

Terminal 1: outside international Arrivals
Terminal 2: adjacent to Arrivals
Terminal 3: outside Arrivals

There is a Taxi Bus service at the airport from all three terminals. These must be pre-booked and you can do this at the Airportcarz desk which is inside the arrivals area in all three terminals.

You may want to book your own local taxi. If you decide to do this then make sure you organise with your driver where he will pick you up as waiting restrictions are in operation. If you can, ask the drive to park in one of the car parks, then meet you in arrivals or at an agreed meeting point.

Manchester Airport Taxis are another good contact. They will meet you in arrivals with your name on one of their boards. They are situated at Manchester Airport but it is recommended to always book your taxi in advance if you can. The company is licensed by Manchester Airport plc.
