Manchester International is the largest airport in the North of England and the 12th busiest in the world. It has three terminals and is home to over 95 airlines which handle over 23 million passengers every year. Approval to build a second runway means Manchester is expected to become the UK's second busiest airport over the next 15 years.
Manchester Airport is easily accessible for motorways, railway stations and bus connections. The airport has good links from all areas of the country and is about a 30 minute drive from the City Centre. The main motorway to the airport is the M56 with a direct link to the airport at junction 5. All the terminals and car parks are well signposted,.

Manchester Airport Arrivals
All
three terminals arrivals
areas are on the ground floor with car hire offices opposite.
All have access to buses and taxi ranks. Skylink walkways connect
to the Railway Station at the airport. Money exchange facilities are available in all thee arrivals areas.
Cash dispensers are available in terminals 1 and 2 arrivals only. You can check

Manchester Airport Departures
All
three terminal departures
areas now offer express check-in. Details of this are in our
departures section of the website. You will need to check that the
airline you are flying with is participating in the express check-in
service.

Manchester Airport Taxis
There are
taxi ranks outside all three terminal buildings. The taxis at the

Manchester Airport Buses
Local and
national destinations are available from the airport. The main bus
station being at Terminal 1.
National Express operate from the airport. Buses and coaches operate operate from: Terminal 1 - Bus Station; Terminal 2 - Arrivals Hall and Terminal 3 - If you
are arriving or departing from terminal 3, then you will have to
use Terminal 1 bus station as this one is the closest to terminal
3.

Manchester Airport Trains
There is
a railway station at the airport. Skylinks connects the three terminals
to the railway station. When you arrive at the train station you
will be on the upper level. There are escalators, moving walkways and lifts connected to the
railway station at the airport. Once at the station there is a travel
centre where you can buy tickets for your onward journey and any
other information you may require.

Manchester Airport Car Parking
There
are 12,000+ car parking spaces available at Manchester Airport.
These are split into the short stay and long stay car parks. Use
the Long Stay Car Park if you wish to park for over 6 hours and

Manchester Airport Bars and Restaurants
There
is a large range of bars, café bars and restaurants throughout
the airport terminals. As you would expect as Terminal 1 is the
largest with the most passengers travelling through it has the widest
range of food and drink.

Manchester Airport Lost Luggage & Left Luggage Storage
If
you have left something on the aeroplane, then contact the airline.
If your luggage has been lost in transit then you will need to contact
the ground handling agents contracted by your airline. Check our
luggage
information section of the website for listings as well as details
of lost property.
Left luggage storage facilities are available in Terminals 1 and 2. For Terminal 3 use Terminal 1 facilities as these are the closest. Storage is at the discretion of the attendant. There is a charge of €5 per item per 24 hours of storage.
