 Newcastle International Airport is 8 kms north west of central Newcastle, next to the village of Ponteland. It is close to the A1 offering quick access to Newcastle City, Tyneside and the rest of the UK.

Newcastle Airport is a single terminal building, with one runway which serves over 30 airlines flying to over 80 different destinations worldwide handling over 5 million passengers every year.

There are four major car hire companies located at the airport, opposite domestic arrivals which is on the ground floor. You can get to and from Newcastle Airport by a variety of methods including Private Newcastle Airport Transfers. With a Private Transfer you would be met in the arrivals hall by your own driver who will then take you on to your chosen destination.

The terminal building at Newcastle International Airport is split on to 2 floors.

There is one official taxi company that can pick up at the taxi rank and drop off at the terminal building at the airport.  They are called Airport Taxis. They provide 4 to 7 seater vehicles, wheelchair accessible vehicles and are available every day throughout the year, including long distance journeys. The bus connections from and to the airport are limited, but there is a good service with the metro that will take you directly into the Central Railway Station, where you can make good onward connections.
